3 Days Mount Kinabalu Climbing packages!


Mount Kinabalu is a prominent mountain in Borneo and Southeast Asia. Mount Kinabalu is the highest peak in Borneo's Crocker Range and is one of the highest mountains in the Malay Archipelago.

Low's Peak, its summit, is 4095m above sea level. Along the climbing trail, you can find Kinabalu mountain alpine meadows in the mountain grasslands among 6000 species of plants, birds and mammals. Among this rich collection of wildlife are gigantic Rafflesia and the Orang-Utan.

Low's Peak can be climbed quite easily by any healthy individual and there is no need for mountaineering equipment on the main route. Good stamina is a must!

D1:   Pick up from hotel within Kota Kinabalu city centre around 1230 hrs. Proceed to Kinabalu Park. Upon arrival at Kinabalu Park HQ, register for the climbing activity and check in to your dormitory room. Enjoy the afternoon at your leisure.

D2:   Breakfast at the Kinabalu Park Lodge. Present at registration and arrange extra baggage storage. Meet up with mountain guide at reception. After short briefing and preparation, commence to Timpohon Gate.

Trek to Laban Rata Resthouse (3273m). Check in dormitory room and relax. Take an early rest.

D3:   Wake up early at 2AM. Take a simple supper before trekking to the summit for three hours. Reach Low's Peak at 4095m to catch the magnificent sunrise. Then descending back to the resthouse for breakfast. Pack your belongings and descend back to Timpohon Gate.

Transfer to Park HQ and collect certificate of achievement. Pick up from the Park HQ around 2PM to return to Kota Kinabalu.

Meals: Full board meals (2 x Breakfast, 1 x Packed Lunch, 1 x Lunch, 2 x Dinner, 1 x Supper)

Items to bring :
* Waterproof backpack to store your items
* Trekking shoe with good grip
* Warm clothing/Long sleeves shirt/Hiking pants
* Jacket/Wind breaker
* Extra clothing and socks
* Towel, hand gloves and hat, disposable raincoats
* Head torch
* Personal toiletries
* Refillable water bottle (0.5 - 1 Litre)
* High energy food such as chocolates, nuts, biscuits, sweets, energy bars
